Last November, we hosted a Dia de los Muertos dinner for a few friends. Each attendee recieved a clay candle holder and a terracotta frame to paint. We also put a little disposable apron at each place to keep our clothes clean.
Dia de los Muertos is a beautiful Mexican tradition with roots stretching back thousands of years. It's a time to remember the people who we've had to say goodbye to, to tell their stories, and make space for their memory among the living.
Like many Mexican-American families, we didn't grow up knowing every tradition or practicing every custom, but Dia de los Muertos has been a part of our roots that we've held on to and have been grateful to carry with us.
When Click Bloom was first starting to design seasonal collections, we decided to incorporate some pieces inspired by Dia de los Muertos, and now, in 2026, the collection is one of my favorites in the Click Bloom shop.
