Flowers from a Book Film Art Print

Flowers from a Book: An interplay of contrasting elements in the desert. 

This one might have been my favorite to name. When I was younger, my mom really loved the movie "Scent of a Woman", and we watched it all the time. There's a moment at the end of the movie where Al Pacino names the perfume a woman is wearing, and the name is "Flowers from a Brook." I always heard "Flowers from a Book," and it wasn't until a decade later that I realized my mistake, but then I was over the moon that I got to claim "Flowers from a Book" as my own, because I thought it was a thousand times better and more whimsical. Since then, I've always wanted to name an art piece "Flowers from a Book", and when I saw this image, I knew this one would be it. 

In this image, you can really see film shine with the pillowy flower petals. Film has a dreamy way of making things look well detailed, but soft at the same time. It's one of my favorite things about film, and I love how you can see it so well in the top two flowers, and in the branches at the top.  

This photo was taken on was taken on medium format film (not digital) using a Pentax 645 camera and Portra Film. 

Printed on fine art smooth matte paper that is known for its image sharpness and overall color density and gradation, these prints have an archival lifespan of 100 years in regular in home light and 200 years in dark storage, choose from 8x10, 11x14, or 16x20 sizes.  

Each print is packaged with a backing board in a protective cello sleeve and shipped in a rigid mailer.

Prints are made to order and will typically be ready to ship in a week.
