Lemon Peel Hand Painted Fortune Cookie

Winters in Arizona are sunny and inviting; warm enough to read a book on the grass, cool enough to bring a sweater just incase. Winters in Arizona also bring the juiciest, most beautiful citrus. On any street, you can catch orange and yellow jeweled dots in backyards, big branches pouring over fences with oranges and grapefruit. 

This is Lemon Peel, the fourth in our series of handmade fortune cookies. 

I started making these as a personal project and over the last five weeks, I’ve found joy in seeing them placed around our house, in holding one while reading a book, and of course, in the days-long process of making them. To see the full process, please check us out on social media. 

Included are three strips of paper. Write a note, roll up the paper, and tuck away inside one side of your fortune cookie for someone to find. (opening does not follow through to the other side, do not break open to retrieve note)

Our fortune cookies are made from air dry clay, and while they've been dipped in a protective glaze, they are not waterproof, food safe, or edible. Please handle with care.
