Papel Picado Letterpress Cards
Papel Picado Letterpress Cards
Both cards included!
Papel picado translates to chopped paper, or cut paper. During Day of the Dead, papel picado signifies the fragile nature of life, and the union between life and death. Earth, wind, fire, and water are all represented on a traditional ofrenda, and papel picado represents wind.
We print our cards on a Chandler & Price printing press from 1899. We mix our own inks, print on a beautiful soft white cotton card-stock, and operate the press via foot pedal.
These cards are blank inside, and come with an envelope so you can give or mail one to your favorite person!
When folded, the cards are 4.25 inches by 5.5 inches, and come packaged in a protective cello sleeve.
Additional props in photo are for decoration purposes only, and are not included with the cards.
Please note that due to the handmade nature of letterpress, and differences in monitors/screens, slight variations in color may occur.
