We hand make our earrings at our home in Arizona. They are lightweight and won't pull on your ears. For our earring backs, we use stainless steel, nickel-free posts, and they are secured with rubber earring stoppers.
Sugar skulls are used during Day of the Dead to represent a departed soul. They also signify the sweetness of life, and are often placed on an ofrenda, sometimes with the loved one's name written across the forehead. Before they were commercially produced, sugar skulls were hand-made in small batches. Our sugar skull earrings were hand-painted and are each slightly imperfect, which we hope makes them all the more special in their own way.
